” Unlimited usage plans will have a fair usage policy of 10 GB/month. Beyond which the customer will be charged at Rs. 2/- per MB. ”
Then why do they call it unlimited .
Isn’t it a prank.
A simple way of fooling customers.
This was an attractive plan
- Unlimited@Night – 499
- Rs. 499/-
- 50 paise per minute during day (between 6 AM – 10 PM)
All of a sudden i noticed some three stars on side of this plan and it read below – ” Unlimited usage plans will have a fair usage policy of 10 GB/month. Beyond which the customer will be charged at Rs. 2/- per MB. ” The very next feeling in my mind was WTF!!
Here re some download calculations
With 3.1 Mbps speed ie. 396 KB/s download , you can download 1 MB in 2.5 Seconds ie.
in 1 Minute u can download 24 MB,
in 1 Hour u can Download 1.4 GB,
Night Unlimited has 8 Hours of download so 1.4 GB * 8 Hours = 11.2 GB per day.
So for a month ie . 30 days that would be some 336 GB .
Now 10 GB vs 336 GB. You decide the difference.
